Obituary of Carol Ann Reid

Carol Ann Richardson Reid 72 of Carlinville, passed away June 24, 2015 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. She was born October 15, 1942 in Alton, IL to Allen Churchhill and Marie (Rotter) Richardson. Carol graduated from Edwardsville High School and attended Eastern Illinois University. She married John Reid in 1963 and he survives. John and Carol lived in Stonington for 37 years before moving to Carlinville. Carol loved her children and grandchildren very much and always had a beautiful smile on her face. Survivors include son, Michael (Kristina) Reid of Shorewood; daughters, Patty (Todd) Petersen of Springfield and Diane (Joe) Burge of Tamarac, FL; grandchildren, Luke Petersen of Springfield, Lydia Petersen of Litchfield, Maddy Reid of Bloomington and Mitch Reid of Bartlett; ex husband, John (Mary) Reid of Carlinville; sisters, Judy (Mike) Veith of Edwardsville and Marilyn (Steve) Moore of Phoenix, AZ and numerous other relatives. Carol was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Funeral Mass will follow at 7:00 pm at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville with Father Angel Sierra officiating. Serving as pallbearers are her four grandchildren, Luke and Lydia Petersen, Maddy and Mitch Reid, and Jerry, Ken, David, and Don Reid. Burial will be held at New Calvary Cemetery in Carlinville at a later date.
