Kenneth R. Qualls
69, of Carlinville, passed away Thursday morning, May 30, 2013 at his residence in Carlinville, IL.
Kenny was born on August 1, 1943 to Raymond and Anna (Fox) Qualls in Carlinville, IL. He was a 1961 graduate of Carlinville High School and served in the United States Army for the Missile Unit during Vietnam. Kenneth married Mariann Lippold on October 20, 1967 in Carlinville and she survives.
Kenny worked for GTE for 14 1/2 years, Rathgeb Brothers and Fred Smith Equipment as a salesman for 17 years, Area Diesel Service for 9 years as a tech and at the age of 40 he attended auctioneer school and became a licensed auctioneer. Kenny was a member Guy Baird America Legion Post #544 as past commander, Carliville Elks Lodge Lodge #1412 and the Massy Harris Collectors Club.
Kenny is survived by his wife Mariann; son, David Qualls (Pamela) of Mt. Olive, IL; daughter, Michelle Dyer (Wally) of Carlinville; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Heyen and Acacia and Nathan Dyer all at home; sister, Nancy Fox (Peter Palm) of Plymouth, MN; brother, Sam Qualls (Anita) of Columbia, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Drew Dyer in 2004. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 11:00 am at the church with Deacon Scott Joiner officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville with military rites performed by the Guy Baird American Legion Post #544. Donations Information
