Harold L. Pruitt
of Carlinville, died Sunday morning, July 18, 2010 at Heritage Manor in Carlinville.
He was born Tuesday, June 8, 1926 in Neosha, MO, the Son of William Egbert and Helen Juanita (Stanley) Pruitt.
Harold served in the Merchant Marines during W.W.#2 transporting troops.
Harold married Juanita E. "Nita" (Watkins) in Wichita, KS. on October 20, 1944 and she passed away February 21, 2009.
Harold had worked for Valley Steel and Central Illinois Steel Company both in Carlinville as a salesman.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church in rural Raymond.
Survivors: Son, Gary Pruitt (Susan) of Houston, TX, Daughter, Gloria Suter (Jim) of Carlinville, IL, Grandchildren: Paul Rutter, Michelle Johnson (Wayne), Harold Pruitt (Lynn), and David Pruitt (Karen), 5 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.
He was preceded in death by infant brother Kenneth. Funeral Information
Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jim Suter officiating.
