Obituary of Barbara S. O'Donnell

Barbara Sue (Christensen) O'Donnell 64, of Gillespie, formerly of Carlinville, passed away Saturday morning, January 31, 2015 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Barbara was born on September 30, 1950 to Paul and Marjorie (Dalby) Christensen in Carlinville. She married David Bolton, and after his death later married Lee O'Donnell. He preceded her in death also. Barbara graduated with the class of 1968 at Carlinville High School. Barb was a seamstress for Carlinville Glove Factory for several years. She was also a homemaker. She loved sewing, playing on the computer, and playing with her daughters cats. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Steve) Lucykow of Gillespie; two granddaughters, Teri Chapman and Niki Chapman; grandson, David Chapman; brother, Rick Christensen of Nashville, TN; sister, Ruth Smith of Carlinville; several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a granddaughter, Chyann Lucykow; and a sister, Nancy Tieman. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2015, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, with her brother Rick Christensen, officiating. Burial will take place in the Mitchell Cemetery in rural Gillespie. Donations Information Memorials are suggested to the family.
