Obituary of Frank R. Masters

Frank R. Masters 58 of Carlinville, passed away Friday evening, April 17, 2015, at his residence in Carlinville, IL. Frank was born September 12, 1956, in New Castle, PA, a son of Frank R. and Eleanor Beatrice (Quering) Masters. After graduation from Pittsburgh University, Frank started his career with Exxon Mobil. He help build the Monterey Coal Mine #1 in Carlinville, IL as a Mining Engineer. He later worked in the mine as a Supervisor. He retired after 35 years from Exxon Mobil as a Sales Manager. He enjoyed his career with Exxon Mobil and was a dedicated employee. Franks real passion was the space program with NASA and enjoyed teaching others of its value. He enjoyed geology, boating, politics and was a great story teller. Frank married Denise M. (Allen) Riech August 8, 2008, at their residence in Carlinville, IL. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Jackie A. McQuiston, and brother Bud Matiste. Frank is survived by his wife, Denise M. Masters of Carlinville, IL, daughter, Megan Masters of Carlinville, IL, son, Devon Masters of Carlinville, IL, step-daughters, Megan and Sarah Riech of Carlinville, IL, step-sons, Andrew Riech of Springfield, IL and Nicholas Riech of Carlinville, IL, step-granddaughter, Grace Pack, sister, Karen Lee Gish of New Castle, PA, 2 nephews; Scott McQuiston of New Castle PA and Lance Matiste of Poland OH.
