Clem Maberry
73, of Carlinville, died Friday, February 18, 2011 at his residence.
He was born Friday, August 6, 1937 in Hettick, Illinois, the Son of the late Harvey and the late Ruth (Baker) Maberry. He married Mary E. Adcock in Carlinville, Illinois on August 30, 1958. Shortly after marriage, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Clem was a custodian at Carlinville Truck Equipment Company. In his early years, he worked at Tri-City Grocery in Carlinville, working his way up to manager, and then he owned and operated CD Upholstery for many years. Later, he was a bus driver for Carlinville School District for several years. Before becoming a custodian, he was a groundskeeper for the Carlinville Country Club for 8 years. Clem was a certified pilot, and loved to fly whenever he could.
Survivors: Wife, Mary Maberry of Carlinville, Daughter, Brenda Barilla (Louis) of Oswego, Illinois, Daughter, Allison Holland (Tom) of Sandwich, Illinois, Grandchildren:, Ashley, Melissa,, Megan, and Matthew, Sister, Betty Gwillim (Alfred) of Carlinville, Sister, Thelma Maberry of Auburn, Brother, Charlie Maberry (Katherine) of Hardin, Several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter: Cindy Maberry, brothers: Willard and David Maberry. Funeral Information
Graveside Services: 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 21, 2011 at Prairie Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Bob Sabo will officiate. Serving as pallbearers are Tom Holland, Lou Barilla, Matt Holland, Jason LeMarr, Curt Maberry, and Jesse Maberry. There will be no visitation. Donations Information
