Pauline Lingo
86, of Carlinville, passed away, Friday morning, April 8, 2011 at her residence.
Pauline was born August 28, 1924 in Marlinton, WV, the daughter of Forrest and Lillie (McClug) McClure. She married Paul C. Lingo in Montgomery, WV in September 1950. He passed away in 1998.
Pauline was a registered nurse while living in West Virginia. After moving to Carlinville Pauline became a homemaker so she could spend more time with her family. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Carlinville, Carlinville Area Hospital Aux., and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Pauline was also involved in a friends tennis group and enjoyed bird watching, quilting, and sewing.
Pauline is survived by her son, David Lingo of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Paula Lapp (John) of Carlinville; daughter, Charlotte Lingo of Carlinville; son, Rodney Lingo of Carlinville; three grandchildren, Susan, Jennifer and Kevin; sister, Elizabeth Aldermann of Charleston, WV and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Information
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 13 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ with Rev. Kevin Strope officiating.
Burial will be in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville at a later date. Donations Information
