Norma L. LeVora
Norma L. LeVora, 79, of Carlinville, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born January 5, 1929 in Carlinville, Illinois, the Daughter of the late Arthur William Griffiths and the late Norma Marie Gooch. She married Marvel J. LeVora in Little Rock, Arkansas on Feburary 14, 1950. Besides being a homemaker, Norma worked with the husband, Marvel,doing bookwork for LeVora Trucking. She loved raising and caring for her family. Norma was a member of Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church, along with the American Legion Auxiliary in Carlinville.
Survivors: Husband, Marvel J. LeVora of Carlinville, Son, Thomas A. LeVora (Peggy) of Bloomington, IN, Son, Gerald "Jerry" W. LeVora, Sr. (Angie), Son, John M. LeVora (Susan A.) both of Carlinville, Daughter, Kelley M. Philpott of St. Louis, MO, 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, Sister, Jean M. Philpott of St. Louis, MO, Brother, William E. Griffith (Mary) of Carlinville, Several Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded by her parents, her granddaughter Christy Lynne LeVora, and her sister Betty Kocis. Funeral Information
Visitation: 9:00 - 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, November 18 at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville.
Services: 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church.
Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery in Carlinville. Donations Information
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund for either Carlinville Area Hospital or Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church.
