Obituary of Dale W. Lehmann

Dale W. Lehmann 72 of rural Girard, passed away Friday morning, September 27, 2013 at his residence in rural Girard, IL. Dale was born on June 21, 1941 to Albert and Anita (Schmidt) Lehmann in Carlinville. He was a 1958 graduate of Girard High School and in June 1969 he married Elizabeth Ann Walsh. Dale was a farmer in the Girard/Carlinville area for his entire lifetime. For many years he enjoyed coaching baseball. Dale was avid about his sports and loved watching the Cardinals, Illini, Rams, Blues and all of the local teams play. He was the Superintendent of the sheep division for the Department of Agriculture for 25 years. Dale enjoyed gardening and most of all loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Dale is survived by 2 sons, Kevin Lehmann of Carlinville and Mark Lehmann of Springfield, IL; 7 grandchildren, Kelley, Jake, Cameron, Colin, Zoey, Lillian and Vivienne Lehmann; brother; Robert (Betty) Lehmann of Girard, IL and several nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Lehmann and parents, Albert J. and Anita M. Lehmann. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon, September 29, 2013 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 10:00 am at Carlinville United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Sabo officiating. Burial will take place in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials are suggested to the North Mac Sports Boosters.
