Obituary of Horacio Labault Lopez

Horacio Labault Lopez 87, of Girard, formerly of Puerto Rico passed away Wednesday morning, December 19, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Horacio was born on April 17, 1925 to Nemecio and Sarah (Lopez) Labault in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. He served in the Puerto Rican Army for several years and on November 22, 1952 he married Esther Valle Colon. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2012. Horacio was a police officer at a Naval base and later was a Post Master in Puerto Rico, retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Puerto Rico and the Masonic Lodge. Horacio is survived by his son, Horacio R. Labault (Irene) of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Wanda Young of Girard; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Fernando Labault Lopez of CT; 2 sisters, Mirian Labault Lopez and Lotty Iglesias both of Puerto Rico. Horacio was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Funeral Information Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Girard Cemetery, with Rich McElfresh, officiating. Directions Cemetery: Girard Cemetery
