Condolences
I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are never alone. You can find much comfort in the Holy Scriptures which assures us at Psalms 34:18 that God is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
Such a wonderful gentleman. We extend our sincere sympathies to Denver's family and to his friends, especially those who served our country with him. Jim & Nancy Schien
To Denver's family. I was shocked last night when my Carlinville friend Karen Harper told me that Denver had passed away. I was counting on our regular visit when we came to Hillsboro to visit relatives and friends this summer. I so much enjoyed our visits and his stories of the Kunz families. He was the Colonel who MADE IT HAPPEN, when the Illinois WW II Memorial got bogged down by politics. You should know that I consider that Memorial a TRIBUTE TO COLONEL DENVER WAYNE KUNZ! I would like to get the "snail mail" addresses of the family. Sadly I corresponded only with Denver and Dorothy, until she passed away. Rest assured I share you grief. I would hope that the local American Legion and VFW would participate in a fitting "Military Tribute" to Denver at his funeral. We all know we are losing "Our Greatest Generation"; but it hits twice as hard when it is your own family!
