Maxine Ball 91, of Girard passed away, Monday morning, December 31, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. Maxine was born July 5, 1921, in Girard, IL, a daughter of Lewis and Ruth (Funk) Ball. Maxine graduated from Girard High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education at McKendree College. Maxine was a teacher for Litchfield High School for 36 years. Maxine was a member of the Girard United Methodist Church and was an avid member in the community along with several organizations including; Delta Kappa Gamma, AAUW, Litchfield Hospital Auxiliary, Litchfield Women's Club; of which she was a member for 50 years; the Girard Women's Club, and The Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral Information Visitation will be Thursday, January 03, 2013 9:00 to11:00 at Girard United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the church with Rev. Mary Alice Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Rovey Cemetery rural Farmersville. Donations Information Memorials may be made to the Girard Library, The United Methodist Church, and the Girard Fire and Rescue.
