Jane Knudson
79, of Girard, passed away Monday evening, June 2, 2014 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Jane was born on November 21, 1934 to Phillip and Martha (Davenport) Bergan in Carlinville. She graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1952 and married James Knudson on May 23, 1953 in Pocahontas, AR. James preceded her in death on June 26, 2009.
Jane was a child care provider, working for Carousel in Virden, retiring in 2000. After retirement, Jane provided care for her 2 great grandchildren, Griffin and Lennox. She was a member of the Virden Methodist Church. Jane was a true die hard Chicago Cubs fan, and enjoyed playing slot machines and dining out.
Jane is survived by her son, Tim Knudson of Virden; daughter, Tammy Sloman of Decatur; granddaughter, Sara (Matt) Wiseman of Virden; great-grandchildren, Griffin & Lennox Wiseman at home; sister, Mary Jo Oye of Carlinville and several nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Funeral Information
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Donations Information
