Ethel May Keller
87, of Carlinville, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
She was born Wednesday, December 12, 1923 in Mascoutah, Illinois, the Daughter of the late Louis J. and Stella R. (Curry) Kehrer. She married Arthur A. Keller in Freeburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1994.
Ethel was Homemaker.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Carlinville. Fraternal Memberships: Grand Lecturer Club of the Metro East Area, Grand Lecturer of Illinois since 1963 to present, Past Matron of Bunker Hill Chapter No. 465, Past Matron of Carlinville Chapter No. 802, Past Matron of Gillespie Chapter No. 430, Past Appointed Grand Officer of the Order of the Eastern Star of Illinois in 1975, Past Member of the Board of Grand Examiners of the Order of the Eastern Star of Illinois, Illinois Grand Representative Association having served as a Grand Representative of Virginia in Illinois 1968-1971 and Grand Representative of Arkansas in Illinois 2006-2008, International Grand Representatives Association, Grand Cross of Color of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, Abeba Temple No. 42, Daughters of the Nile, Honorary membership in Missouri, Oklahoma and many Chapters in the State of Illinois.
Survivors: Daughter, Patricia A. Keller of Carlinville, Sister, Florence Voegele of Mascoutah, Sister, Pearl Rodriquez (Mauro) of Lexington, KY, Sister, Evelyn Kreher (Joseph) of Freeburg, Sister, Joyce Massmann of Freeburg, Many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, Great-Great Nieces and Nephews, and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by husband, parents, and 3 sisters: Irma Hankammer, June Pratt, and Stella Kehrer, 4 brothers: Edward, Robert, Russell, and Louis A. Kehrer. Funeral Information
Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 28 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Services: 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 28th, following visitation, with Rev. Kevin Strope officiating
Private Burial will be in Mascoutah Cemetery in Mascoutah, Illinois. Donations Information
