Paul V. Jones
90, of Palmyra formerly of Carlinville passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 10, 2012, at Carlinville Area Hospital.
Paul was born April 6, 1921, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Walter and Mabel Lottie Buffmeyer Jones.
Paul's first marriage was to Lillian "Snooks" (Eyer) on June 17, 1950 in Carlinville. Lillian passed away on July 6, 1995. Paul later married Pauline (Bristow) King on June 28, 2001, at the Macoupin County Court House. Paul attended school in Carlinville before proudly serving his country during W.W.#2 in the Army. Paul worked for the City of Carlinville in the street department before retiring with 20 year of service in 1985. Paul continued to farm several years after his retirement. He was a member of the John L. Meyer VFW Post #1104 in Carlinville and the local labor union.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Jones, mother Mabel L. (Buffmeyer) Jones, Son, Danny Ray Jones, son Richard in infancy, grandson Scot King, great grandson Marcus Edward Jones, brothers, Ray E., Walter Russell, Robert L., Gerald and Marvin Jones, sisters, Opal Tibbs and Pauline Strussel.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline King Jones, daughter, Linda (Ken) Bruley, step-son, Mike (Debbie) King, step-son, Mitch King, step-daughter, Mandy Launer, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister, Ada Helen Bryan. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held Friday, 11:00am, January 13, 2012 at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Harding officiating.
Paul will be laid to rest in the Charity Cemetery in rural Carlinville. Directions
