Obituary of Carrol E. Johnson

Carrol E. Johnson Carrol E. Johnson, 84, of Carlinville, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at his residence. He was born Saturday, August 30, 1924 in Dupo, Illinois, the son of the late John A. Johnson and the late Bertha A. (Crissip) Johnson. He married the late Glenda B. Fisk in Springfield, Illinois on July 19, 1975. She passed away on January 27, 1992. Johnson was a grad of Dupo High School, and later graduated from Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, where he erned degrees in blueprinting and engineering. Carrol served his country during WWll in the Army Air Corp, as a Sergeant. He was the office manager for MJM Electric Co-Op in Carlinville for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of B.P.O.E. 1412 in Carlinville, and lifemember of Carlinville VFW John L. Meyer Post 1104. He loved being with his family, and working around his farm.. Survivors: Daughter, Denni J. Rhodes of Carlinville, Son, Terry "T.J." Johnson (Companion: Nicki Palmer) of Carlinville, Grandson, Brandon Chasteen of Carlinville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Johnson. Funeral Information A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, is in charge of arrangements.
