Obituary of K. Lendell Austwick

K. Lendell Austwick 89 of Carlinville, passed away Monday evening, September 15, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Lendell was born on December 1, 1924 to Herbert and Letha (Pratt) Austwick in Hettick, IL. He was a graduate of Hettick High School with the class of 1942. On November 14, 1946 Lendell married Melba Brown in Carlinville and she survives. Lendell was a lifelong farmer in the Carlinville area. He spent several years as the owner and operator of Austwick Lumber Yard and Austwick Farm Supply. Lendell was a lifetime member of Charity Baptist Church in rural Carlinville where he was Deacon and taught Sunday School from 1959 to 2014. Lendell is survived by his wife, Melba of Carlinville; two daughters, Connie LeVora and Vicki (Nate) Halteman both of Carlinville; three grandchildren, Jaime Halteman, J.R. LeVora and Nathan Halteman; 1 great granddaughter, Kristilyn LeVora, as well as a brother, Zane (Doris) Austwick of Carlinville. Lendell was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:30 am at Charity Baptist Church, rural Carlinville with Rev. Curtis Ebert officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.
