Edna May Gunning
94, of Carlinville, died Friday, May 28, 2010 at Heritage Manor.
She was born Sunday, May 14, 1916 in Butler, IL, the daughter of George and Clara Mary (Johnson) Wilson.
Edna married George Seward Gunning in Gillespie on February 28, 1936 and he passed away, August 19, 1999.
Edna was a homemaker and seamstress. She loved to crochet and baked one of the best pies around.
Survivors: daughter, Edna Frazier of Carlinville, IL, son, John W. Gunning (companion Amy Arnett) of Carlinville, IL, son, Thomas M. Gunning (Kathleen) of Brighton, IL, 12 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers; Charles, Mike, Ernest, and Robert Wilson, sisters; Mary Joiner, Ruth Fry, Louise Sanders and Thelma Edwards. Funeral Information
There will be no visitation.
Memorial service will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery. Donations Information
