Obituary of Mary Jane Anderson

Mary Jane Anderson 97, of Carlinville, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center. Mary was born Sunday, March 24, 1912 in Palmyra, IL, the Daughter of Ira M. Richards and Edna (Cline) Richards. Mary grew up on a farm in North Otter Twsp. She married Calvin Ray Fite August 31, 1935 and they later divorced. She later married Alva "Dude" Anderson on February 22, 1948 and he passed away July 14, 1986. Mary was member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ for over 60 years, serving on the Women's Guild and Missionary Society. She was also active in AARP, Macoupin County Home Extension Association, Church Women United and the Macoupin County Historical Society. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Keith Richards. Survivors: Son, Jerald D. Fite (Wife Sheila) of Springfield, IL. Funeral Information Graveside services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Palmyra on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Mary Ellen Sharp will officiate.
