Obituary of Cathy J. Eskew

Cathy Eskew 61, of Palmyra, passed away Wednesday morning, May 9, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Cathy was born on August 22, 1950 to Stewart and Mattie (Sain) Allgood in Springfield, IL. She was a 1968 graduate of Virden High School and attended Lincoln Land Community College for two years. Cathy married her husband Wayne Eskew in Carlinville in 1996. Cathy was the manager at Fast Stop in Virden for 18 years. She enjoyed hunting mushrooms, gardening and going to car shows. Cathy is survived by her husband Wayne; twin sons, Wade Gadberry (Shannon) of Virden, IL, Wyatt Gadberry (Cindy) of Auburn, IL and Jeremiah Eskew (Lindsey) of Water Town, NY; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, John Allgood (Norma) of Springfield, IL; 2 sisters, Dora Teaney of Jacksonville, IL and Carolyn Ann Thomas (Ed) of Taylorville, IL; mother-in-law, Lucille Thomas (Paul) of Chatham, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents and her daughter, Sonya Burgett. Funeral Information Family services will be held at a later date.
