Obituary of Lester Eugene Ealey

Lester E. Ealey 75 of Girard, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard, IL. Lester was born June 22, 1939, in Dawson, IL, a son of George Taylor and Goldie Disney Ealey. Lester graduated from Lamphire High with the class of 1957. He married Edna Mae Schaef Spears on July 20, 2005, in Springfield, IL. Lester was a machine operator at Thermal Ceramics in Girard for 23 years. He then worked as a custodian for Girard High School for 2 years, as well as working for Wal-Mart as a greeter and assistant in the lawn and garden department, retiring in July 2014. Lester was a member of the House of Prayer in Springfield and enjoyed fishing and going to the river boat. Lester was preceded in death by his father, George Taylor Ealey, mother, Goldie Ealey, son, James Drew, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Lester is survived by his wife, Edna Mae Ealey of Girard, IL, son, Edward Eugene (Kay) Ealey of FL, step daughter, Bobbie Sue (Tim) Sexton of Springfield, IL, step daughter, Sharon (Paul) Mueller of Tucson, AZ, step daughter, Janet (Kenneth) MacLeod of Girard, IL, step daughter, Mary (Dave) Hogan of Virden, IL, step daughter, Kelly (Cidny Fernandez) Nance of Springfield, IL, step son, Tim Drew of Springfield, IL, step son, Rick (Melody) Drew of Girard, IL, daughter-in-law, Donna Drew of Girard, IL, 91 grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, Elsie Budd of Litchfield, IL, brother, Rocky (Eileen) Ealey, Sr. of Tucson, AZ, sister, Eileen (Terry) Callarman of Modesto, IL, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL.
