Obituary of Evelyn Naomi Dwyer

Evelyn N. Dwyer 93, of Carlinville passed away Thursday evening, December 26, 2013 at Heritage Manor in Carlinville. She was born September 1, 1920 in Litchfield, the daughter of William J. and Daisy (Adams) Brown Kahle. Her step-father was William H. Kahle. She married John Dwyer, Jr on May 19, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. Her husband preceded her in death on March 23, 1968. Mrs. Dwyer graduated from Carlinville High School in 1938 and Brown's Business College in Springfield in 1939. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Rathgeb Bros. Inc. for 41 years. She was a lifelong member of Charity Baptist Church. Evelyn was also a member of Carlinville Order of Eastern Star #802 and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 554. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Darleen (Dee) Dwyer Dungan; grandson, Mark Dungan and wife, Lynley; great grandchildren, Sydney, Graham, and Ainsley Dungan, all of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers, William E. Kahle and wife, Doris of Carlinville and William J. Brown of Jerseyville; sister-in-law, Faye Dwyer of Carlinville, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Information A memorial service will be held at Charity Baptist Church on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 1:00pm with Rev. Curtis Ebert officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00, Monday in Harvest Hall at Charity Church, rural Carlinville. Burial will take place next to her husband in Charity Cemetery.
