Obituary of Patricia Faye Duncan

Pat F. Duncan 70, of Carlinville, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010 at Carlinville Area Hospital. She was born Wednesday, December 27, 1939 in Polk Twp., the daughter of John A. (Bus) Rosentreter and Gladys (Meyers) Rosentreter Burleson. Her father preceded her in death. She married Robert F. Duncan in Plainview Baptist Church on July 18, 1959. Graduate of Carlinville High School, class of 1957 and attended college for 2 years. Pat had worked for the Carlinville Clinic before becoming employed at the Carlinville Unit 1 School District. Before retiring in 2005, she had worked as the Unit 1 Administrative Secretary, school Secretary and Assistant Librarian. She was a member of Concord Primitive Baptist Church rural Palmyra, Red Hat Society, Home Extension, Plainview Eastern Star #665 and had served as Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls. Survivors: Husband, Robert F. "Bob" Duncan of Carlinville, IL, Mother, Gladys and husband Howard Burleson of Carlinville, IL, Son, Daniel Robert Duncan Sr. (Robin) of Chesterfield, IL, Son, David John Duncan (Margaret) of Carlinville, IL, Daughter, Lori Ann Schmidt (Mike) of Carlinville, IL. Grandchildren, Kristine, Dustin, Amy Lynn, Dawn, John, Daniel, James, Sydney, Bailey, and Marley, Brother, John W. Rosentreter (Audrey) of Carlinville, IL, Step Brothers, Larry Burleson of Carlinville, Dean Burleson of Louisiana MO., Dale Burleson of Midland MI and Step Sister, Diana Light of St. Louis, MO., Nieces, Beth Brooks and Joan Hammann. Funeral Information Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, January 31 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL. Private family services will be held at a later date.
