Obituary of James L. Drew

James L. Drew Sr. 63 of Girard, passed away Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. James was born on August 17, 1950 to Edna (Schaaf) Ealey in Carlinville, IL. On June 29, 1976 James married Donna Tosh in Carlinville and they recently celebrated 38 years of marriage. James was a member of the First Baptist Church in Girard and was a truck driver since 1980, as well as a mechanic previously. James was currently working at Cavalier Trucking in Carlinville. In his spare time James enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving, restoring antique cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren. James is survived by his wife Donna of Girard, IL; four sons, Jim L.(Dana) Drew Jr. of Mattoon, IL, Jamee Lee (companion Kim) Drew of Pittsburg, PA, Nathan Scott Drew of Girard and Quentin (Brandy) Drew of Carlinville; one daughter, Candice (Brett) Lovelace of Springfield, IL; mother, Edna Mae (Lester) Ealey of Girard, IL; five sisters, Sharon (Paul) Mueller of AZ, Linda Patterson of Springfield, IL, Janet (Kenny) MacLeod of Girard, IL, Mary (Dave) Hogan of Virden, IL, Kelly (companion Cindy Fernandez) Nance of Virden, IL and a step-sister, Bobbie Sue (Tim) Sexton of Dawson, IL; two brothers, Tim Drew of Springfield, IL and Rick (Melody) Drew of Girard; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his dad, Robert Spears and one daughter Joanna Marie. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Homes with a celebration of life following at the funeral home at 7:00 with Rev. Victor Angulo officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Hamburg, IL. Donations Information Memorials are suggested to the Girard Fire and Rescue Squad.
