Obituary of Stella Marie Dey

Stella Marie Dey 85, of Carlinville, died Monday evening, September 21, 2009 at Carlinville Area Hospital. She was born Friday, February 1, 1924 in Gillespie, IL, the Daughter of Ira Bethel and Stella (Linton). Stella started as a secretary for her fathers insurance company at the age of 15. She retired from Prairie Farms Dairy in Carlinville in 1987. During the W.W.#2 she worked in an airplane factory in Indiana. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church as well as a 50 year member in 2008 at the Carlinville Order of the Eastern Star. Stella was a past member of the Business and Professional Womens Club in Carlinville. Survivors: Son, Denis Sackett (Michelle) of Bloomington, IL, Daughter, Diana Joiner (Greg) of Carlinville, IL, Daughter-in-Law, Donna Burnett (Jerry) of Girard, IL, 13 Grandchildren; Shawne Sackett (Jason Geisler) and Kimberly Sackett both of Bloomington, Greg Joiner II (Vicki)and Michael Joiner (Denise), both of Carlinville, Tracey Joiner (Ken Czajkowski) of Decatur; Andrea; Sara; and Eric Sackett all of Wymoning; Cheryl Klaus (Scott) Danvers, IL; Howard Dunn (Keri) Farmersville, IL; Ernest Dunn (Melinda) and Angela Barnes (David) both of Girard; and Audra Pierce of South Carolina, 21 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, 4 brothers and son; Robert Duaine Sackett. Funeral Information Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 23 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL. Eastern Star Rities at 7:00 P.M. Funeral service: 10:00AM, Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home. Stella will be laid to rest in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville Donations Information Memorials may be made to the Carlinville Senior Citizens Center or Carlinville Area Hospital Building Fund.
