Obituary of Leta Eileen Derringer

Leta Eileen Derringer 87, of Girard passed away Monday evening on January 6, 2014, at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard, IL. Eileen was born September 20, 1926, in Girard, IL, a daughter of Elery and Marie (Leach) Weller. She married Walter Derringer on November 26, 1947, in Carlinville at the Methodist Parsonage. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Richard Weller. Eileen and Walter enjoyed 64 years of marriage together. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and will be dearly missed. Eileen enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Eileen is survived by her daughters; Beverly (Tim Bottomley) Derringer of Arvada, CO, Teresa (Ken) Hoffacker of Bloomington, IL, and Jan (Larry) Brewer of Chatham , IL, granddaughters; Julie, Kim, and Bryce grandsons; Randy and Dan, great-grandsons KJ, and Brennon and great-granddaughter, Jenna and Isla, and brother; Ronald (Evelyn) Weller. The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard and TIP Hospice of Carlinville. You truly helped make her last few years happy. Funeral Information Graveside Service will be held Friday January 10, 2014 at 11:00 at Girard Cemetery with Rev. Milton Bost of Chatham Baptist Church officiating.
