Robert N. Crouch
87 of Litchfield, IL, passed away Thursday evening, January 22, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL.
Robert was born on April 19, 1927 in Carlinville, IL, one of four boys born to Lafayette and Blanche (Adams) Crouch. Robert served his country during W.W.II, joining the Navy in 1945.
Robert married Dorothy (Kates), July of 1950 and they later divorced. He later married Pauline (Sleboda, May of 1977 and she passed away in 2000.
After the war, Robert joined the staff at Raab's Appliance Company from 1949 to 1971. Later that year he went to work for Schien Body & Equipment as a welder on truck bodies until 1978. Robert retired in 1993 as a welder for Tru-Weld Grading Company in Litchfield.
Robert was a member of the Litchfield VFW Post #3912 and the AM-Vets Post #16.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas Eugene Crouch and brothers, Lawrence & Norman Crouch.
Robert is survived by his sons, Robert Dean (Brenda) Crouch of Carlinville and Dennis Wayne (Janet) Crouch of Staunton; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a brother, Donald (Caroline) Crouch of Sprakers, N.Y. Funeral Information
A Graveside Service will be held at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville, IL, Monday morning, 10:00 AM, January 26, 2015 with Rev. Cliff Woodman.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Pauline in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations Information
