Phillip E. Collins

age 58, of Germantown Hills, Il formerly of Girard passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 at St Francis Medical Center in the Emergancy Room in Peoria, IL at 1:10 P.M. Phil was born July 25, 1950 in Springfield, IL, son of the late C. Ervin and Helen (Moomaw) Collins. On May 5,1973 in Aurora, Il, Phil married Brenda (Rowe). He worked for General Casualty in Springfield as a senior Claims Analyst. Phil was a member of the Girard Methodist Church and Girard Alumni Association. He was a past Sunday School Teacher and held numerous church positions. Phil enjoyed reading, crossword puzzels, Sudoku, camping and most of all his grandchildren. He was a graduated from Girard High School, class of 1968 and Western University class of 1972. He also served in the Army National Guard.

Friends may call Friday, August 8, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL.

Funeral service will be held, Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Girard United Methodist Church.
