Roy W. Lovegrove , 86 of Virden, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 12, 2016, at Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Virden, IL.
Roy was born January 20, 1930, in Ramsey, IL, a son of Thomas and Ruby Denton Lovegrove.
He married Maxine (Morrow) April 14, 1984, in Springfield, IL and she passed away on August 26, 2014.
Roy was employed by the Hobbs Corporation in Springfield, Illinois as a factory line employee. He enjoyed bird watching, wildlife and was a true Chicago Cubs fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and siblings.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Selma, Iowa.
Roy is survived by his step-daughter, Patty Barnes of Girard, IL, 4 step-grandchildren, 8 step great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
