Obituary of Harold Edward Davis

Harold Edward Davis, 80, of Carlinville, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 7, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Harold was born on July 7, 1935 to Harry and Edna (Moore) Davis in Chesterfield, IL. He married Janet Johnston on October 11, 1996 at the Macoupin County Courthouse in Carlinville and she survives. Harold was a watchman and custodian for CISCO Steel in Carlinville for nearly 20 years. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Harold is survived by his wife, Janet Davis of Carlinville; four step-daughters, Carol Scherer of Bunker Hill, IL; Frances Allen of Lincoln, IL; Vicki Allen of Waverly, IL and Kate (Dick) Rimby of KS; several grandchildren, including Carley and Dylan Inman who he raised; brother-in-law, Laverne Fenton of Carlinville and several nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Fenton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Church of the Nazarene in Carlinville with Rev. Don Harrison officiating.
