Nora Jane (Bentley) Feuquay, 47 of Waterloo formerly of Carlinville passed away Monday evening, December 21, 2015, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Nora was born July 26, 1968, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of James P. "Red" and Lavina (Crum) Bentley. She graduated from Carlinville High School in 1986, and continued her education at Southern Illinois University graduating in 1990 with a degree in journalism. She received her Masters Degree in Business from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. Nora had worked for several years in Macoupin County as the Economic Development Coordinator before accepting the position of Community and Economic Development Educator at the U of I Extension in Monroe and St.Clair Counties and Economic Development Educator in Monroe County. She relocated to Waterloo, IL with her daughter Madeleine Feuquay and became an integral part of the local community. She was well respected by her peers and colleagues. While living in Waterloo, Nora met her life companion, Marty Raeber. They enjoyed spending their time together antiquing and preserving items from the past. She loved hiking, cooking, photography, and spending time with family and friends. Nora was an avid lover of all animals and cherished her pets. Nora was preceded in death by her brother Benjamin Bentley in 2006. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015, 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home 260 Woodlawn Drive in Carlinville, IL. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 am, Monday, December 28, 2015 at Carlinville United Methodist Church with Rev Rex Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Carlinville, IL. Nora is survived by her parents James P. "Red" and Lavina Bentley of Carlinville, IL, daughter, Madeleine "MJ" Feuquay of Waterloo, IL, sister, Janice Harding of Carlinville, IL, brother, James P. (Shirley) Bentley of Dorsey, IL, sister, Jennifer Uptmor of Carlinville, IL, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and her companion, Marty Raeber of Columbia, IL.
