Obituary of Nancy Ann Lockwood

Nancy Ann Lockwood 63, of Girard, passed away Monday morning, September 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born on September 6, 1950 to Stanley H. and Ann (Williamson) Walden in Springfield, Illinois. She was a 1968 graduate of Girard High School. On August 11, 1973 she married Mike Lockwood at the New Hope Methodist Church. Nancy was a word processor for Franklin Life in Springfield for over five years, when on her way home from there, she was involved in an auto accident in 1990. She loved her grandchildren, Mickey Mouse collectables, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Nancy is survived by her husband Mike; daughter, Shelley Gray (husband Randy "Hound") of Girard; son, Jeff "Hoss" Lockwood (wife Erin) of Girard; four Grandchildren, Sydney, Mason, Logan, and Easton; two brothers, David Walden and Lynn Walden, both of Girard; two sisters, Dixie Hampton (husband Ed) and Lorie Walden, both of Girard; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Ann Walden. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Thursday, September 4, 2014, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014, at 10:00 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Marty Nagel, officiating. Burial will take place in the Girard Cemetery.
