Stan Leslie Meyers, 76 of Litchfield, IL, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Stan was born May 11, 1950, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Elmo and Helen S. Meyers. He graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1969. Stan married Elsie Loraine Bridges on August 25, 1969, in Carlinville, IL. They shared 56 loving years together. Stan was a member of the Army serving during the Vietnam War.

Stan worked for CISCO in all departments and also did mowing on the side. He was a dedicated member of the moose lodge #1216 and the VFW post 1104 of Carlinville. He also enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and rabbit hunting. Stan enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Carla M. Meyers, and brothers, Bob and Gary Meyers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 6:00 pm, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, Reverend Cliff Woodman officiating.

A private burial will be held at a later date in Shipman Cemetery, Shipman, IL.

Stan is survived by his wife, Elsie Loraine Meyers of Litchfield, IL, daughter, Stanett (John) Settles, granddaughter, Alyssa (Scott) Blankenship, granddaughter, Hailey (boyfriend Chris Cox) Settles, granddaughter, Alexandria (Michael Beck) Settles, great grandchildren, Blakelynn Beck, Ava Cox, Layla and Alexander Blankenship, brother, Elmo Meyers, Jr. of Prairietown, IL, brother, Don (Patsy) Meyers of Jerseyville, IL, sister, Judy Plumley of Rowlett, TX.
