Christopher W. Joiner, 39, of Chesterfield, IL, passed away on Saturday evening, June 20, 2026, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Christopher was born June 14, 1987, in Jerseyville, IL, a son of Timothy Robert Joiner and Brenda Kay Goewey Joiner who was later adopted by William Robert "Bob" Joiner and Nancy Kay Nash Joiner. He graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 2005, and Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis, IN in 2006.

His primary occupation was welding and fabrication at Bob's Welding and repairs in Chesterfield, IL until it's closing in 2015. Besides many "side jobs", he later became a certified chef, serving in several area restaurants until he developed heart issues in 2023. Which continued until his death. He was an organ and tissue donor for Gifts of Hope - the body will be cremated.

He was a member of the Chesterfield Bible Church most often called "Joiner". He belonged to local pool leagues, and enjoyed fishing and target shooting at the gun range.

Christopher was preceded in death by his mother Brenda Goewey, father, William Robert "Bob" Joiner, brother, Todd Alan Davidson, and uncle, James E. Joiner.

Christopher is survived by his mother, Nancy Kay Joiner of Chesterfield, IL, father, Timothy Robert Joiner of Carlinville, IL, girlfriend, Tabitha Butcher of Chesterfield, IL, son, Trevin Williams-Joiner of Carlinville, IL; his siblings, Kelsey Jo (Andrew) Carr, Samantha Nicole Joiner, and Nolan Thomas Joiner all of Carlinville, IL, Leroy Robert Goewey of Witt, IL, Brandon Allen Seward of Butler, IL, and Thomas Andrew (Teresa) Davidson of Waterloo, IL, grandmother, Sharon Kay Joiner of Carlinville, IL, aunts and uncles, Sheryl Robin (Billy) Mayer of Carlinville, IL, Denise Whitlock Joiner, Jackquelin (Steve) Morgan, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is July 10th, 2026, from 10 to 11 am at Chesterfield Bible Church in Chesterfield, IL.

A celebration of life will be held following visitation at Chesterfield Bible Church in Chesterfield, IL.
