Linda Marie (Rosentreter) Reiher, 81, of Carlinville, IL passed away Tuesday evening, March 31, 2026, surrounded by her daughters. Linda was born on May 2, 1944, in Carlinville, daughter of Victor and Stella “Mae” (Kalaher) Rosentreter. She married the love of her life, Veryl Reiher, on Sept. 25, 1965, and he proceeds her in death.

She graduated from Carlinville High with the class of 1962. Following high school, Linda attended St. John’s Nursing School and retired from Carlinville Area Hospital after 40 years of nursing. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and crafting. Linda was a member of Ss. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, Carlinville.

Linda is survived by daughter, Annette (Farley) Cole of Girard; daughter-in-law, Lori Reiher of Carlinville; daughter, Susan (Stuart) Twitchell of Greenfield; daughter, Melissa Bland of Springfield; and daughter, Tanya (Nawar) Alchaar of San Clemente, CA; grandsons, Austin Cole, Theron Cole, Jack Reiher, Ben Twitchell, Alex Alchaar, Kyle Alchaar, Nate Bland; granddaughters, Alyssa (Eddie) Emery, Danielle (Luke) Leonard, Madeline Reiher, Abigale Twitchell, Emily (Brody) Summers, Alayna Bland, Kayla Bland; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Lucy, and Ambrose Emery; and brother, John (Marla) Rosentreter of Carlinville.

Linda is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Robert Reiher, and brothers Donald and Gerald Rosentreter.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday April 11, 2026, at Ss. Mary and Joseph Church, 2010 E. 1st South St., Carlinville, IL with Rev. Joseph Koyickal, SAC officiating.

Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Route 4 South, Carlinville, IL.
