Eric Douglas Neathery, 61, of Girard, IL, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at his home in Girard, IL.
Eric was born January 25, 1965, in Springfield, IL, a son of Ernest and Donna (Cass) Neathery He graduated from Glenwood High School with the class of 1983.
Eric joined the US Marine Corps directly after high school. After the Marines, he went to school for Fire Protection Science. He joined the Sprinkler Fitter's Union and installed fire protection systems until his retirement. Eric enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling-having been to all lower 48 states. His dog Lil Woof was a very important companion in his life.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents.
No services are planned at this time.
Eric is survived by his daughter, Breah (Tim) Gallagher of New Castle, PA, son, Tyler Neathery of Girard, IL, son, Steven Dey of Springfield, IL, granddaughter, Haizel Neathery, and sister, Leighann Homeigher of Palmyra, IL.
