Robert A. Lee Sr., 82 of Carlinville, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, at his home in Carlinville, IL.

Robert was born November 23, 1943, in Alton, IL, a son of Milton Fredrick Lee and Mary E. Tredway Lee graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1961. He married Shirley Harbaugh August 21, 1968, in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.

Robert was a laborer in the city of North Lauderdale, FL then he was a utility operator at Shell Oil Refinery in Woodriver, IL for 15 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Carlinville. Robert was also a 3rd degree Mason for over 50 years. He loved hunting and camping. It was a special trip every time he and Shirley went to the TriState Rodeo in Ft. Madison, IA. They went every second week in September and hardly missed a single year.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James W. Lee.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, 9:00 to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.

A Celebration of Life and military rites will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville.

Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley M. Lee of Carlinville, IL, daughter, Lesa (Russell) Hart of Plainview, IL, daughter, Terri Lynn Ferris of San Bernardino, CA, son, Robert A. (Dawn) Lee, Jr. of Maryville, IL, daughter, Sherry (William) Pitchford of Carlinville, IL, eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Marilyn Lee, several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Lee family or Alzheimer's Association.
