Ricky W. Burger, 60 of Sauget, IL, formerly of Carlinville, IL, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Ricky was born June 14, 1965, in Carrollton, IL, a son of Earl Lynn and Pearl (Bowers) Burger. Ricky attended Carlinville Schools.

Ricky was a member of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country from 1984-1987.

Ricky worked as truck driver, driving for several trucking companies and retired in 2005. He loved to fish, shoot guns, go camping, and playing card games. He loved spending time with his family, especially spoiling the kids, nieces and nephews.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Earl Lynn Burger, Sr., mother, Pearl Burger, granddaughter, Lilianna Johnson, brother, Earl "Buster" Lynn Burger, Jr., sister, Tanya McAllister, and sister, Teena McLaughlin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Ricky is survived by his ex-wife, Patricia Burger of Carlinville, IL, son, Dillian Harbaugh of Carlinville, IL, son, William Larson of Omaha, NE, grandchildren Lillina Johnson, Dimitri, Ami and Sirius Larson, brother, Terry Lee (Shannon) Burger of Waverly, IL, brother, Chet (Andria) Rhoads of Girard, IL, sister, Tonya (Doug) Campbell of Roodhouse, IL, brother, Kennet Burger of Carlinville, IL, sister-in-law, Laura Burger, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Squirrel Bowl for Wounded Warriors.
