Rosezzetta "Rosie" Hines, 83, of Carlinville, IL, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, at Lakeside Health Care in Carlinville, IL.

Rosie was born May 20, 1942, in Carrollton, IL, one of three children born to Edwin and Mina (Besterfeldt) Dreier of Jersyville, IL. Rosie attended the Jersyville schools in Jersyville, IL. She married Glendale "Buck" Hines, July 2, 1958, at Kemper Baptist Church in Medora, IL.

Rosie was a homemaker and babysat for children in the local area. She enjoyed doing crafts. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, crocheting, garage sales, gardening and craft festivals. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Pearl Davis of Murray, KY and one brother Charles Dreier of Florida.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, 9:00 to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville.

Burial will follow in Medora Cemetery, Medora IL.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Glendale "Buck" Hines of Carlinville, IL, two daughters, Glenda (Buck) Costello and Tammie (Mike) Hammann all of Carlinville, IL; a grandson, Cody (Mandy) Hines of Godfrey, IL, two great-granddaughters, Lexie and Chloe Hines as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Project 3rd Day.
