Dean E. Denby, 62 of Girard, IL, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at his home in Girard, IL.

Dean was born August 12, 1963, , a son of Lynn A. and Norma (Klimm) Denby. He graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1981. He married Mariann Krug on April 21, 1990, in Girard, IL.

Dean had been a farmer all his life, farming with his dad and his uncle. He raised crops and hogs. Farming was his life and his hobby. He was a volunteer firefighter with Girard Fire Protection District. Dean liked to tell good jokes and playing pranks on others.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation prior to the service.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL.

Burial will follow in Girard Cemetery, Girard, IL.

Dean is survived by his wife, Mariann Denby of Girard, IL, daughter, Katrina (Josh Buzzell) Denby of Grovetown, GA, son, Matthew (Cyndi) Brumme of Springfield, IL, daughter, Amanda (Kristopher) Charles of Springfield, IL, 4 grandchildren, sister, Linda Bowen of Chicago, IL, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
