Eleanor L. Bain, 99, of Divernon, IL, previously of Carlinville, Il, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at her home.

Eleanor was born December 13, 1925, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of Paul and Geraldine Grace (Harkey) Konneker. She married Wayne E. Bain on November 14, 1942, at the Carlinville Rural Methodist Church.

Eleanor spent her career as a factory worker having been employed at Brown Shoe Factory and Roller Derby as well as at Sidneys, all in Litchfield, IL. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She loved bluebirds and spending time with family. She liked to travel and read and loved animals.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Robert Bain, a grandson, and her brother, Gerald Konneker.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, 9-10am at Rural Methodist Church, Carlinville, IL.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Rural Methodist Church, with Pastor Braden Parks officiating.

Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Carlinville, IL.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Connie Keller of Divernon, IL, daughter, Linda (James) Wright of Litchfield, IL, daughter, Gayle (John) Hanafin of Litchfield, IL, daughter, Marsha (Mark) Heironimus of Angleton, TX, 8 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
