Irene E. Kuntzman, 94, of Virden, passed away Friday evening, October 31, 2025 at home in Virden, IL.

Irene was born on October 3, 1931 to White and Dorothy (Barnett) VanHuss in Pawnee, IL.

Irene graduated from Virden High School with the class of 1950. On February 1st, 1951 she married Norman "Crowbar" Kuntzman in Carlinvlle, IL. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2005. Irene worked at Dickey-John Corporation in Auburn for 22 years in the factory. She was a member of Grace Southern Baptist Church in Virden. She enjoyed reading and taking care of her home, both inside and outside. Her most pleasurable moments were being with her family.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Linda Kuntzman of Virden, IL; son, Gary "Crowbar" Kuntzman of Virden, IL; sisters-in-law, JoAnn and Pauline VanHuss; numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by parents, White and Dorothy VanHuss; husband, Norman "Crowbar" Kuntzman; granddaughter, Crystal Marie Kuntzman; brothers, Charles, Carl, Wilbur, Jess, George, and Paul VanHuss; sisters, Catherine Lubben, Betty Rovey, Occie Gunn, and Shirley Clevenger.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL.

Funeral services will follow on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 12:00 noon at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL, with Pastor Ben McCloughan, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Virden Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to either the Alzheimer's Association or the Animal Protection League.
