Jason Robert Eades, 45, of Jerseyville, formerly of Hettick, IL, passed away Friday morning, September 5, 2025 at Jerseyville Healthcare in Jerseyville, IL.
Jason was born on August 26, 1980 to Melvin and Linda (Coad) Eades in Springfield, IL. He graduated from Northwestern High School with the class of 2001.
Jason was a special person who enjoyed being a friend to everyone he met in life and always noticed the little things. He loved as he was loved and never knew a stranger. In addition to his family, his favorite things were John Deere tractors, Mt Dew, payday candy bars, hot dogs and mom’s cookies/cooking.
Jason is survived by his parents, Melvin and Linda Eades of Hettick, IL, two brothers; Lucas (Brandi) Eades of Chesterfield, IL, and Ethan (Audra) Eades of Carlinville, IL; sister, Katie (David) Cressy of Jacksonville, IL; two nieces, Berlynn Eades, and Olianna Briggs; six nephews, Hagan Eades, Daggar Eades, Gracin Thacker, Jackson Cressy, Bryson Briggs, and Logan Debatin; grandmother, Carline Eades of Carlinville, IL; aunts and uncles, Peggy and Greg Maksimuk of St. Charles, IL, Paul and Linda Coad of FL, and Eric (Rose) Coad of MN; and many cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Emma (Schneiderjan) Coad, and his paternal grandfather, Leroy Eades.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Gilead Baptist Church, Hettick, IL.
Jason’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Gilead Baptist Church, Hettick, IL, with David Ziegenbein, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Hettick at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery or the Northwestern Education Foundation.
