Laurie Ann Jones, 63 of Chatham, IL (formerly of Carlinville, IL), passed away Tuesday,

July 29, 2025, at her home.

Laurie was born January 11, 1962, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of Gerald and Donna (Brown) Jones. Laurie attended Carlinville High School and graduated in 1981.

Laurie, over the years, worked at Lincoln Towers, Springfield, Macy’s and the Loft at White Oaks Mall, Springfield, IL. She loved to dance and listen to classical music. Laurie loved to watch horror movies.

Laurie was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Donna Jones; her sisters, Patricia (Patty) Jones and Jeri Lynn Jones.

Laurie is survived by siblings: Carolyn Jones Allen of Rockford, IL; Teresa Jones Blunt of Tulsa, OK; Kristin Jones Scholes of California; Gerald (Jerry) Jones of Carlinville, IL; John Jones of Worcester, MA; Melinda Jones Campbell of Staunton, IL and Peggy Jones of Hamura, Japan, nieces and nephews: Dawn Allen Hartman, Sandra (Sandy) Allen, Jennifer Allen, Heather Blunt, Christopher Blunt, James Jones, Jason Jones, Alexis Coleman, Britney Coleman, Dustin Coleman, Tessa Coleman, Martin Jones, Sara Campbell, Austin LeBeau, Alec Ring.

There will be a private Memorial Service with burial at Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 9:00 am.

Memorials may be made to National Autism Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
