Judy A. DeMunbrun, 87, of Auburn, IL, previously from Carlinville and Chesterfield, IL passed away Thursday morning, June 19, 2025, at her home in Auburn, IL.

Judy was born March 8, 1938, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of Bert Estell and Mary Ion (Griffin) Ruyle.

Judy graduated from Carlinville High School 1955 with the class of 1955.

She met Frank A. DeMunbrun when she worked as a waitress at the Cavalier (Tiel's) and they married in Chesterfield, IL on July 27, 1957. She had worked at the Post Office in Chesterfield, IL as well as the Chesterfield Grocery store. Judy spent many years enjoying her life as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.

Judy was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Carlinville, IL for many years. She enjoyed a dual membership with the Palmyra Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #453 and Plainview order of the Eastern Star #665 and had been a past Matron. She was Grand Ruth in 2021-2022. She was also an Ababa Daughter of the Nile Chapter #42 of Springfield, IL, and a Grand Rep for Rhode Island in Illinois for 2006-2008. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL. from 9 to 11:00 am.

Eastern Star Rites will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.

Private burial at Gilead Cemetery, Hettick, IL.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Charles) Cote, DeForest, WI, Lisa (Martin) Mau of Chatham, IL, Carol Wyatt of Manito Springs, Co, brother Jim (Gail) Ruyle, of Mokina, IL, a niece and a nephew, and was Grammy to nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
