Lowell E. Wills, 89, of Virden, IL, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, at his home in Virden, IL.
Lowell was born January 11, 1936, in Enos, IL, a son of Irvin E. and Alice Lydia (Triplett) Wills. Lowell graduated from Farmersville High School with the class of 1955. He married Rhonda Hatalla April 26, 1986, in Virden, IL.
Lowell was a member of the United States Army. He worked for Commonwealth Edison in Pawnee, IL, retiring after 24 years as a Control Room Operator. After his retirement, Lowell kept busy by mowing 35 lawns. He enjoyed meeting up with friends and visiting for morning coffee. He loved to solve word-search puzzles.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Lorraine Statler and Louise Lockwood, and brothers; Larry and Andy Wills.
There are no services planned.
Lowell is survived by his wife; Rhonda Wills of Virden, IL, son; Allen (Patti) Wills of Farmersville, IL, sons; Tom (Denise) Wills of Cambridge, IL, and Dwayne (Michelle) Wills of Providence Forge, VA, grandchildren; Ashley (Chris) Millburg, Zach (Jeremy) Wills, Ashley (David) Abruzzese, Tyler (Charlie) Wills, Dylan (Samantha) Wills, Jessica (Hunter) Wills, great-grandchildren; Chase Millburg, Lilly Millburg, Riley Abruzzese, Reagan Abruzzese, Reese Abruzzese, Beau Sowder, and several nieces and nephews.
