Mary K. Wright, 92 of Virden, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Mary was born March 17, 1933, in Auburn, IL, a daughter of James E. and Mae L. Gates Dixon. Mary graduated from Auburn High School with the class of 1951. She married William March 27, 1953, in St. Charles, MO.

Mary was a loving homemaker, her passion in life was taking care of her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Wright, Sr., parents, brothers, John, Dale, and Jimmy Dixon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, IL.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard.

There will be a private graveside burial.

Mary is survived by her son, Bill Wright, Jr. of Irving, IL, son, Tom (Donna) Wright, son, Joe Wright of Waggoner, IL, daughter, Susan (Bill) Dalby of Auburn, IL, daughter, Sandy (Mel) Dalby of Girard, IL, grandson, Billy (Nicki Ronda) Dalby of Auburn, IL, grandson, Mark (Jill) Wright and their 3 children of Virden, IL, grandson, Jim (Nicole) Wright of Virden, IL, several step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, sister, Dorothy Copelin of Auburn, IL, several nieces and nephews, and beloved dog, Miss Kitty.

Memorials may be made to Macoupin County Animal Shelter.
