Obituary of Myron Lynn Dugger

Myron Lynn Dugger, 72 of Carlinville, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at his residence in Carlinville, IL. Myron was born September 10, 1952, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Junior Ray and Luella (Turner) Dugger. Myron graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1970. He married Kathy Guess on May 1, 1976, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Carlinville, IL. He went into service in December of 1971 until November 1973. He was apart of the Army's 25th infantry, stationed in Schofield Barracks, HI. Myron worked for Dugger's Body shop for a couple of years, then he worked for Bill Lippold Construction for just a bit. He started working for Bates Motor Co. in December of 1980 and retired from there in 2018 after over 35 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed working on his 1952 Cadillac. His greatly enjoyed making his own wine, grilling out, and spending time with his family and grandkids. He loved to garden, do projects with his sons, loved going to whatever the grandkids were interested in. He liked listening to classic rock and Willie's Roadhouse music. He enjoyed playing on the pool and dart leagues in Carlinville. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1216 where he held many offices. He even held the position of Governor for several years. He was also a member of the Elk Lodge 1412 and Emmanuel Baptist Church. Myron was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Jason Dugger, and his beloved dog, Ozzie. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, 9:00 to 11:30 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:30 am, Friday,May 2, 2025 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville. Burial will follow in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Carlinville, with military rites at the graveside. Myron is survived by his wife, Kathy Dugger of Carlinville, IL, sons; Chad (Sadie) Dugger of Carlinville, IL, and Gary (Courtney) Dugger of Hettick, IL, grandchildren; Charlee Dugger, and Reed Dugger, brothers; Tom (Kathy) Dugger of Hannibal, MO, Brad Dugger of Carlinville, IL, Ronnie Dugger of Carlinville, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews.
