Shirley J. Henry, 88, of Virden, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Hillsboro Health and Rehab Center in Hillsboro, IL.

Shirley was born June 3, 1936, the second of thirteen children born to Albert and Edith Tucker. She married John E. Henry on June 5, 1954 in Springfield, IL.

Shirley worked for 35 years for Dickey John Corp. in Auburn, IL, doing finishing work and also as a laborer. She spent her time taking care of John and her children.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sons; David, Danny, and Greg Henry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

A private burial will take place in the Girard Cemetery.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Grace (Russ) Price of Divernon, IL, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister, Norma Wells of Virden, IL, sister, Beverly Braun of Olney, IL, sister in law, Donna Tucker of Taylorville, IL, and brother, Lester (Sherri) Tucker of Springfield, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to New Beginnings Church, Girard, IL.
