Dale Tieman, 89, of Carlinville, IL, passed away on June 10, 2024 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

Dale was born on May 4, 1935 to Chester and Irene (Luking) Tieman at Polk Township, IL. He graduated from Carlinville High School in 1952. Dale worked as an electrician at Boeing. On August 18, 1956, he married Shirley Dwyer in Mississippi. Dale and Shirley lived in Carlinville, IL.

Dale retired from Boeing as an electrician. As a dedicated Carlinville High School Cavalier fan, he attended countless games. Dale was a fitness buff who loved the outdoors. He was married 67 years to Shirley - the love of his life. His pride and joy were his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Dale loved watching the Chicago Cubs and Fighting Illini Basketball. Dale was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who had the 'good fortune' to spend time with him.

Dale is survived by his wife Shirley, five daughters, Paula (Daniel) Barnett of Shipman IL, Sandra (Rocco) Cania of Carlinville, IL, Jill (Mark Weyen Companion) Schwab of Carlinville, IL, Monica (Dave) Reiher of Carlinville, IL, Stacey (Quinn) Steiner of Carlinville, IL; five sons, Richard (Peggy) Tieman of Carlinville, IL, Joseph (Marti) Tieman of Sarasota, FL, Martin (Dana) Tieman of Plainview, IL, Barry (Cherie) Tieman of St. Charles, MO, Brian (Mendi) Tieman of Gulf Breeze, FL; sister, Wilma Smith of Portland, OR; 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers as well as Wendy Tieman (daughter), Michael Schwab (son-in-law) and William Byots (grandson).

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024, 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, 2010 East 1st South St., Carlinville, IL.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, 11:00 am at the Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, Carlinville, IL, with the Fr. Joe Koyickal, SAC officiating.

Burial will take place in New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville, IL.
